I seldom talk and write about politics because I get mad every time that I do. In this case, I’m writing because I am not only enraged at but deeply concerned of what I see happening to our country.

I just received word that the government is moving to pass a bill that would mandate the coverage of contraception and sterilization by health insurance providers. As I remember from high school biology, the ability to reproduce is one of the seven characteristics of life. Contraception/sterilization is a blatant insult to our human dignity—what it means to be a human being. The abortion industry has propagated the notion that pregnancy is a disease to be eradicated rather than the blessing of a child that it should be.

In my mind, this follows as a direct repercussion of the Obamacare bill that was shoved down the throats of the American people against our will. When that happened, I formed a line of succession that resulted in a dystopia like Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World or George Orwell’s 1984 as a worst-case scenario:

Government-regulated health care (“Obamacare”): the federal government sets the rules for health care and health insurance providers.

Government-mandated health care: American citizens are required to have health care insurance.

Government-owned health care: the government releases its own brand of health care.

Government-controlled health care: the federal health care system drives other privatized health care providers out of business with over-regulation.

Crisis/meltdown phase: federal health care will be in collapse due to uncontrolled spending and the lack of budgets.

Rationed health care: due to the limited funding, the government will only provide health care to people deemed “worthy” of it. This phase also comes with other moral issues such as euthanasia, government-mandated abortions, and birth (population) control, which might even result in a subtle ethnic cleansing… horrific.

Brave New Country: a quintessential dystopian environment: The federal government will be the ultimate authority, and all who oppose it or its policies will be reprimanded; children will be either government-sanctioned or grown in “farms”; and people will receive “your time has come” notices (a.k.a “death panels”) once they are labeled hindrances to society (through old age or injury).

I fervently pray that we never reach any of the later phases, but the current administration’s recent antics are definitely revealing a sinister plan that (so far) closely parallels this sequence of terrible events. The first amendment (freedom of religion, speech, press, and right to petition the government) is already being challenged, and I fear for the remaining liberties.

Keep in mind that these events are only worst-case scenarios: they do not have to be predictions (I dearly hope they are not), and even so, I do not foresee any “point of no return” because there is always time for redemption and common sense. We can still reshape this country into one that upholds personal freedom—the foremost of which is the right to life—and brings honor to God. Then and only then will this country once again be dignified.

It’s time to wake up, America!

My dad listens to Niel Boortz on the radio, where he heard about a very inspiring post from Herman Cain about the Perfect Conservative. It sheds light on politics and shares a wonderful Christmas message:

He was not born into a royal family, but He left a royal impression on the world.

For 30 years, He learned the ways of the world without becoming of the world. He then changed the world for the better.

He led without a mandate. He taught without a script. His common sense parables filled people with promise and compassion, His words forever inspiring.

He never condemned what others believed – just sin, evil and corruption.

He helped the poor without one government program. He healed the sick without a government health care system. He feed the hungry without food stamps. And everywhere He went, it turned into a rally, attracting large crowds, and giving them hope, encouragement and inspiration.

For three years He was unemployed, and never collected an unemployment check. Nevertheless, he completed all the work He needed to get done. He didn’t travel by private jet. He walked and sailed, and sometimes traveled on a donkey.

But they made Him walk when He was arrested and taken to jail, and no, He was not read any Miranda Rights. He was arrested for just being who He was and doing nothing wrong. And when they tried Him in court, He never said a mumbling word.

He didn’t have a lawyer, nor did He care about who judged Him.

His judge was a higher power.

The liberal court found Him guilty of false offences and sentenced Him to death, all because He changed the hearts and minds of men with an army of 12.

His death reset the clock of time.

Never before and not since has there ever been such a perfect conservative.

For over 2,000 years the world has tried hard to erase the memory of the perfect conservative, and His principles of compassion, caring and common sense.

His followers are now millions and millions the world over, as those who resent Him have intensified their attacks on who He was and what His followers believe.

The attacks are disguised as political correctness, or a misunderstanding of the First Amendment to the Constitution. Separation of Church and State does not mean Separation of Church from State. The State cannot impose Church on the people, but the people can display and say as much Church in the public square as they desire.

Our Founders recognized that distinction, which helped to inspire the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the founding of this nation – The United States of America!

We must be the Defending Fathers and the defenders of the perfect conservative.

That’s why I proudly wish one and all a very Merry Christmas!

Today marks a very tragic day in the history of the United States: our government has just proven itself to be a tyrannical giant rather than a representative democracy. The US government has just outright completely violated the Constitution, and all of the founding fathers are rolling over in their graves.

The Obama Care Health Plan has been passed with a 219–212 House vote. Aren’t bills supposed to be passed with a 2/3 vote from both houses rather than a simple majority? And one other thing: UNDER WHAT ARTICLE OF THE CONSTITUTION DOES THE UNITED STATES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAVE THE ABILITY TO REGULATE HEALTH CARE?!?

The only things that the federal government can constitutionally regulate are interstate commerce and taxes. In the original mindset of the founding fathers, this means that the government is supposed to ensure that trade between states stays regular. An example of an irregularity would be if Maine decided that Kansas could no longer buy its goods. In this case, the federal government would have to restore regular interstate trade.

To regulate anything except for interstate commerce would be UNCONSTITUTIONAL on the federal government’s behalf.

Hopefully America will retaliate and move to repeal the Obama Care Plan before it has any major impact on our already dying country. Obama has been the president for a little over a year now, and he’s done a surprisingly great job at running our country into the ground so far. I don’t even want to guess at what he’s going to do next.

I spent the day in Austin, TX, with a great crowd of pro-lifers to send a message to the politicians in our government. We do not want abortion to be legal in this country any longer.

In our declaration of independence from the tyranny of the time, we profoundly stated that every human being is endowed with three unalienable rights — rights that cannot be touched or changed in any way: “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Abortion most obviously disregards the unborn child’s unalienable right to life, and, as a result, denies that child his or her liberty and his or her chance to obtain happiness. Scientific evidence proves that an unborn child is 100% purely human from its start as a zygote, to its development into an embryo, or at its fetal stage before birth; the DNA of that child is already present and set in stone at the moment of conception. Since when did America, the greatest country in the world, allow its citizens to legally murder their own children? Why can’t we show the same shock for aborted babies that we do when newborn babies are discovered in trash cans?

While watching the news after the event, they claimed that police officers had to form a buffer between the pro-life crowd, the pro-choice crowd, and the capitol building. This statement is false. Police officers were present at the event, but they were on bicycles and only served to stop traffic for us as we marched through the streets. We were not rowdy or violent at all; we did not have any buffer between us and the capitol even as Governor Rick Perry gave his speech about how he and the senators are working to pass pro-life bills. I did see a small amount of pro-choice people, but they were scattered around throughout the pro-life crowd, not in a separate location. We coexisted peacefully and were even talking with them! We were not a mob as the news says we were. Rather, we were a group of peaceful protesters wishing to make our motives known by following the examples of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mohandas Gandhi.

Tomorrow, The newly-elected Osama bin Laden Barak Obama will be inaugurated into presidential office. He told a cheering pro-abortion crowd that he will sign the so-called Freedom of Choice Act into law. This bill stipulates that “Legal and practical barriers to the full range of reproductive services endanger women’s health and lives. Incremental restrictions on the right to choose imposed by Congress and State legislatures have made access to abortion care extremely difficult, if not impossible, for many women across the country. Currently, 87 percent of the counties in the United States have no abortion provider.” (“Freedom of Choice Act” §2.10).

As an overview, many have drawn the following conclusions about this act. I wish to state what the law says and to show how some of these claims are true:

All hospitals, including Catholic hospitals will be required to perform abortions upon request. If this happens Bishops vow to close down all Catholic hospitals, more then 30% of all hospitals in the United States.

Partial birth abortions would be legal and have no limitations. (“Freedom of Choice Act” §4.a)

All U.S. tax payers would be funding abortions since abortion facilities would be a government institutions.

Parental notification will no longer be required.

The next step from this act is to allow forced abortions or a regulation on how many children a woman is allowed to have.

To begin, such “Legal and practical barriers” include:

parental consent,

liability forms,

medical institutions that will not provide abortions (such as Catholic Hospitals), and

laws enforced by state legislature (states’ rights).

By extension, all medical offices must provide abortions on demand. This raises two problems: First, abortion is immoral and wrong, and Catholic hospitals will not encourage or provide immoral behavior/practices; second, this denies the freedom of institutions to enforce their own rules. If a hospital does not wish to provide an abortion, it should not have to. Instead, Big Brother Government (see 1984 by George Orwell) makes some of the rules for every medical institution. Catholic hospitals, in spite of this act, will continue to deny abortions to women. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has decided that all Catholic hospitals (totaling about 30% of all US hospitals) will be closed if lawsuits become an issue.

Next, the act states that the barriers listed above “endanger women’s health and lives” because “access to abortion care is extremely difficult, if not impossible, [to obtain] for many women across the country.” First of all, abortion clinics do not provide “care;” they usher you into a room, perform the procedure, and kick you out when the dirty work is done. I can speak from secondhand experience that a young woman walked out of a local abortion facility crying and clutching her stomach, then vomited as she walked to her car. If the abortion clinic actually cared for the health of a woman, the least the workers could do would be to make sure that the woman remains comfortable. The best they could do is to close the doors of the facility for good and never offer abortions again. Interviews have proven that abortion hurts a woman both physically and emotionally. Access to an abortion is extremely difficult for a good reason: abortion does not help any situation. The fact that 87% of all US counties do not have an abortion facility is not a cause for any concern. Such a statement is comparable to saying that 98% of all US states are not California (thank goodness!). If the people of a county do not wish to have an abortion facility, then they should not have one.

One might consider abortion to be fine when a woman is pregnant as a result of rape. I, however, strongly object: The child, whether conceived “normally” or by rape, is human. If an embryo’s DNA is human, then it is a human embryo! For nearly all cultures, life begins at conception, and science can prove it. Since abortion “disposes of” a human embryo, abortion is murder.

This act seems to slowly be leading up to communism in America. George Bush vetoed this act several times during his two terms, and now a new president is going to usher in a new era of change. This change is exactly what I warned about in my election-day post.

“Freedom of Choice Act.” Library of Congress. 19 April 2007. Accessed 19 Jan. 2009. < http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c110:H.R.1964.IH:>

On a different note, several internet legends claim the following about the inauguration:

Obama will be assassinated before he can get sworn in

The people will not allow Biden to be put in office

George Bush will manage to continue being president for another term

After George Bush’s 3rd term, Bill Clinton or Al Gore will get elected

The tribulation period will begin, and Jesus will come in glory at the end of it.

McCain specifically pointed out that he had “served our country [his] entire life.” That’s well over 50 years.

Obama followed suit (as he usually does) and says the most similar yet accurate comment: “I’ve been serving my country my entire career.” And how long has Osama been in his career? Less than 200 days.

Obama believes in change. However, change tends to end badly due to several circumstances: one can make a bad decision, one could attempt to make a good change with bad repercussions, a change could start out as good, but might later be warped to be a bad decision. if

As a sign of the mourning our country is going through as it gasps out its final breath, all of us have decided to wear black tomorrow.
